A friend of mine sent a message to remind us of the Blue Origin launch scheduled for this morning. I flipped on a stream and watched the countdown through to capsule landing of their flight 16, the first with humans onboard. I’m glad he sent the message.

About two minutes into the flight I was rooting for the capsule to detach from the booster. “Come on” I said to myself. When confirmation came that it had detached, I realized I was sitting in my truck with my jaw dropped in joy, wonder, adventure and excitement. I don’t know what that is but I know it’s really real. There is a feeling that comes with watching rockets and the humans that adventure on them that is matched by few things, if anything.

Here is to their vertical of 361,210 feet. Here is to adventure, exploration, invention and new things for us all!
